I found Bigger Pockets through youtube and have been watching videos and listening to podcasts for the past 5 months gathering information to figure out what we want to do next.Recently we bought a home up in Napa Valley upcountry that we intended to rehab and use for a vacation rental as well as build an ADU to add another rental space or use for ourselves.

I realize you get out what you put into it, but I have bigger long-term goals of doing some flips and getting into rental properties for passive income.I've been doing a lot of reading, listening to BP as well as other podcasts, and pretty much just being a sponge and soaking in everything I can.

I've been scanning the forums and listened to @Scott Smith on the Bigger Pockets podcast #109 talk about how real estate investors should maintain separate LLCs--one as the operating company, one for their fix and flips, and a separate entity for their buy and holds.
