Long story short, after a few backs and forth, and a long delay from the seller's agent (due to health issues), we finally got the contract signed.

My short term goals right now is to purchase 2-3 more multifamily properties in the Woonsocket area (I am also looking in the Cumberland, Pawtucket, Providence areas) by the end of 2019.

I'm sure they have a policy on short term rentals.If you mean "legally" based on the terms of your loan (i.e. one for a primary residence), I would imagine that would be fine as long as you are living there.

The only reason I bothered was because I knew it was a high appreciation market, and I knew it would be short term. edit - I actually realized this post seemed familiar, I already answered your other identical thread. apologies

(TLDR at bottom)When I was getting quotes to switch insurance companies, the company I chose gave me premiums quotes on my rentals with deductibles of $1k each.

For short term or long term? 

It borders my property on two sides, and virtually anything short of it staying the way it is (wooded) is going to severely derail my quality of life - and I'd rather not have to move. 

Aside from the fact that the VA may not fund given your short term assignment there are significant penalties for what you *might* be doing.    

(Long term this is a new buy and hold rental for me so not looking to flip it or short term type things)  The rental numbers work great and have been in this market for awhile.
