Dead equity in a income property is little more than very expensive hoarding of cash.If mortgage rates are at 5% and a investors cash has a opportunity value of 10% every dollar sitting dead in a property is losing 5% annually.

I am based in south Florida, I am an  IT guy by  profession and have been in this industry for the past 12 years, up until 2017 the only connection I had with Real Estate is my primary home.From listening to podcasts and reading few books I've realized that Real Estate is the investing vehicle  I want to go forward with, I am not a fan of stocks but funneled money to my 401k all these years just like most other folks do. .
