I've been registered to bid on some higher end properties and nobody has ever contacted me.I've never won anything through auction.com so I wouldn't be able to comment on that part.For the time I was watching it closely in the area I didn't think there were a lot of deals on that site that met my pretty particular requirements so I haven't followed it in a while.Let me know how the auction went and how much the property went for.

For the slow and steady approach there are some good comments here on working around your bank's requirements, just be prepared to do this every time you look to buy a new property.I am doing it full time and can tell you that you will need to (sooner or later) look towards a more complex strategy.
