When they decided to unplug the freezer, it would appear that they may not have taken the proper precautions to minimize dampness, which seems to put some of the responsibility on them.I'm also not super sure what if any responsibility should be ascribed to the repairman.

maintenance routine is part precaution and seasonal stuff like this needs should be included in that, but age and type of service, and how may units are involved are also a consideration.Furnace for me is top concern, so that's done in late Sept,, A/C I used window units so not my issue.
