I think that is one of the reasons, I have always been drawn to the commodities and the forex sector since my early 20s as the investing knowledge you need to succeed in these sectors is just simply understanding and forecasting supply and demand.

@Shaun Lapsley   in correct you can have someone form overseas wire you funds at any time I do it fairly regularly.. they will want to use forex so they don't get hammered on exchange rates.

I find the holdco structure apealling because (1) I plan on doing other real estate deals in other states/more llc's (1 for each state) (2) plan on holding other alternative investments (Private equity for ex), and (3) I can setup and apply for business credit at the holdco level.

Never take stated income at its word or trade rent discounts for repairs done by the tenant.
