Considering all the factors mentioned above, I did not feel the local economy was strong enough for me to invest in it.

I'm hoping to bring the value up but with the shift in the economy idk if there's going to be a small shift in home prices.

The neighborhood isn't too bad (I grew up pretty close to it), it has strong industry and manufacturing (small Midwestern city), so the economy is pretty stable, too.I've been looking around to try and answer the neighborhood score, but have no idea where to find that data.

Could be worried about the economy right now..

Now my realtor and the seller seems sluggish. 

However, with the economy the way it is, my husband thinks I should continue to focus on multi family instead of short term/vacation rentals. 

If the economy tanks, and the value goes down, as long as the thing cash flows I am not negatively affected by a market correction.

Our culture, economy, and media are permeated with the notion that everyone should have a nice, newer car, and that they should use a loan to obtain such.Get rid of your car loan!

What are your thoughts on how it will affect the Atlanta market and economy?

Too many get tunnel-vision of a singular investing strategy, and as markets change, they qualify the entire economy as “good” or “bad” based upon applicability unto that pre-selected strategy, vs taking the market economy as it is and referencing which strategy is of best fit for this time.
