Am looking to buy a multi unit property in Columbus, OH and trying to estimate what the property tax would be.I checked in the Franklin county assessor website and was able to find the property tax estimator.

If I find one of course I’ll jump on it but anything with an ADU or multiple units and in a decent area is generally significantly above the $1M mark here.

Early this year my insurance rate got bumped from 7500 to 10K for a 12 unit, and I was told 2025 may not go at all.

I'm getting started in the real estate investing world and am almost ready to buy my first rental.I’m debating between two different investment strategies and would love to hear advice from experienced investors here.Would you a) buy a two unit and house hack with 5% down (all cash in around 40k) in an appreciating area with a little bit of cash flow every month or b) start BRRRR strategy right away out-of-state in a C neighborhood.And a third option, if you have the ability to do both concurrently, which one would you start with first?

Very insightful post and obviously the results of extensive research.Just two points I (somewhat) disagree with.1- yes, Texas does have the “best” foreclosure laws for lenders in the nation.

it appears to be above 3% which is likely in line with the national average.Seems like this investment is giving you nice cashflow and appreciation.
