I said if their maintenance person could not PERMANENTLY fix the problem, the next time they either needed to hire a real company or I would be putting my rent in escrow until they provided me a habitable place to live.

The reason I would pay the rent is that were he to file the papers to begin eviction proceedings, your name will permanently have that associated with it.

I haven't learned how to properly assess neighborhoods and see what the activity is within but, from the looks of the neighborhood the subject property is in, people seem to be permanent residents.

After talking with some people from the town, they had a permanent easement for the line, and it restricted any future expansion due to its proximity to the home.

Here is how you do it. put a fat bonus for agents who sell two or three or more properties as a package, and make sure you do not post that info on the Remark Section of the MLS  that everyone sees it.
