Would you have recommendations for specific regions in Ohio or mid-west that I should put on my radar to identify some of the deals that you mention ?

I'm still in a "job" that although I rather enjoy it I am at the age where I could retire and would when the real estate investing is producing enough to overcome my salary and allow some travel expenses.The market in the greater Cincinnati region seems to have a lot of potential in the wholesale flip, hold, and fix & flip markets.  

That would take you entirely out of the grasp of the RTA/LTB.I have seen a fair number of tax sales being listed in that region of Ontario.

Hi Al, I'm an investor and wholesaler in the Southeast Texas region (Beaumont and surrounding areas).

Perhaps some other Ontario landlords can chime in with other options that are more suitable for your region. 

There is a local Bakersfield forum in the regional forums that may be helpful for meeting up with others from Bakersfield/Kern County.

Our hope is to learn more about the region ourselves and make our way over to the Altoona/state college area in the coming years. 

There are a few portfolio lenders that lend in regions and a few national securitized lenders. 

My two favorite interviews have been Episode 52 with Ken McElroy, and episode 172 with Jonathan Twombly.Quick question, if you were from a declining market, had no attachments and wanted to move to a city, state, or region to launch a real-estate investment career, list your top three choices and defend them.
