@Catherine Barnes  no question rural oregon just like rural WA has very high unemployment.. but the PDX metro area which includes vancouver WA.. job market is robust. anyone who wants to work can work.. anyone not working is not working by choice.there are signs all over the place and banners in front of retail stores looking for workers..

@Greg H.I used to look a the bidding results but ever since they removed the downloadable excel sheet for it, I stopped so don't really have a data on that (I'm a software engineer by day so I have a couple of scripts I run to help me with my analysis).However, as a licensed agent, I have the advantage of bidding to as many properties as I can in HUD (with the help of my partner).

I've only been exploring this whole new world for a month now, but I am about to start my 4th book (I'm a slow reader but getting faster) and have not listened to music in the car for a while now, just podcasts and it's been really amazing learning about real estate.I am currently the engineering & quality assurance manager for an overhead crane company in Azle and I'm looking to further my knowledge in real estate and figure out how and when to make my first deal.
