Ft Mcpherson is getting a major overhaul in addition to the Tyler Perry studio they are planning a mixed use project with restaurants, condos, townhomes, businesses and a school - all walking distance to ft Mcpherson Marta station.

My wife and I are leaving California(my last duty station...fulfilled my contract and now a Veteran) and going to migrate to San Antonio.

You do it every time you use the gas station on the way to work instead of finding the cheapest place in town.

I have a house in Tacoma, Washington near the Hospital, train station.

It's not in an HPOZ neighborhood but is very close to a new Subway station development.

A lot of military folks end up in the South Sound, around Tacoma, but that depends on where you're stationed / working.

Or just open a business Gas Stations, Convenience Stores, small hotels/motels require 24/7 staffing they all require 5-10 people to run the whole thing, close family/friends all can live in close quarters working the business. 

He's stationed at Marble Valley Air Base.  

Another good reason to live in North Beacon Hill, with the only underground station on the south end :).
