Not sure of any resources but here's my take as an active property manager.Lower end properties are famous for higher rewards but are infamous for higher risks!  

Yes, it is hard work and higher risk, but also a higher reward.

This is a high risk/high reward venture and the flipping shows make it all seem so fun and easy.  

so sad, but every time i've found someone fantastic and/or very reasonably priced and I give out their name to reward them, I've regretted it... they often get too busy AND the prices go up... 

Sure the work isnt for everyone but it's very rewarding and a great way to start earning money to put towards real estate.

It’s a long game, but with great rewards.

Call them, thank them, reward them.   

When I work with House hackers in Colorado Springs we definitely talk about how if it doesn't scare you a little bit and it's not hard it probably also won't be that financially or emotionally rewarding. 

Then you look back afterwards and think "damn that was alot of steps and doubts, but the reward was worth those long hard steps"
