Note It is an old brick  building with old school foundation that had a few inches flooding on the 1st level recently that needs to be repaired thats why I'm weighing all my options.All advice welcome thx

He suggested that we also seal the brick with a waterproof sealant like a clear Drylock just for that additional level of protection.

Both ceiling fans have been replaced with fans that are smaller fans with no globes, just regular bulbs; that look very low quality.
