An attorney will have key insights into the structuring of the business and the legal operations side of things, but an accountant (especially one that specializes in real estate investing) will have the specific knowledge to guide you well in the day-to-day.One caveat to this would be a Tax Attorney -- I find many of these to be accountants turned attorney, and they have a very particular lens they see life through that makes them very valuable in this way.

This is valuable when you go to do a deal as you know what projects you will tackle and which ones you will subcontract out.

Remember, hiring a real estate agent does not cost you anything and there's nothing quite as valuable as a great agent (but there are a lot of bad agents out there too, so you  might need to try a few to find the right fit).

Both can bring valuable knowledge to the table, so it's wise to evaluate what you hope to get out of the conversation first.
