what do you mean by a countertop oven - are you referring to a microwave? 

The kitchen is perfect for cooking and dining as it is equipped with all new appliances plus all the extras you might need: microwave, toaster oven, slow cooker, blender, mixer and more.

This includes fridge, range, microwave and dishwasher...

You will also want to provide a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and maybe even a coffee maker and washer/dryer.

I was able to jump up a couple quality levels on a recent kitchen, and still pay less than the $1600 for the basic stainless Frigidaire stove, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator package one tends to see at discount appliance stores.Interested in all the recommendations and will check them out!

Microwaves, dishwashers, anything to save the students money initially and that are more convenient are worth including as well. 

I wouldn't install an above the range microwave. do a normal vent. 

Repainted the entire house ourselves, enclosed one room with French doors to make a 5th BR or office, changed all the ceiling fans, door knobs to brushed nickel, added an above stove microwave.

But if you were sleeping there and you died, well then that's just a risk you knew you were taking.Even if you add a shower, you're still missing a kitchen, and even the ultimate bachelor gets tired of eating microwaved hot pockets every day.
