Generally but not always a lot of the folks that read about sub too are the same ones that want to get into real estate with little or no money you know the wholesaler speech..

Roof trusses need to be supported across the span, by load bearing walls, which then sit over the floor support beams, which are in turn supported by posts upon footings.

BBD recovers lumber to build pre-fab roof trusses made with web trusses, eave overhands, king posts, etc. made from 'scraps' and prefab walls containing window posts, headers, jack studs, cripple walls, etc., made from discarded cut lumber.

One of my floor plans we are building in Oregon in 2020 was about 45k lumber pack and truss's  then shot up to 65k when did 3 more of that plan  ( 2200 sq ft) high ceilings 10 to 12 feet so lots of lumber for the sq ft. 

^^^^^Something like that would (to me) be a lot more memorable, and probably get your Business Card in my Rolodex (I actually use a CRM) vs the more newscaster speech.

Ie, if the foundation, framing and trusses are sound, remove that from your estimate but leave all other costs. 

I had a professional fire rehab company look at the house, and they stated that they wouldn't touch it due to the damage to the trusses and rafters.
