Any loan under than 20% down (other than hard money loans) normally requires that it is an owner occupied home, e.g. you have to live in it for a year.

The selling agent and home inspector tells me it's common and he sees it in 50% home he inspect(central Florida).Questions I have are,1. 

They are your stereotypical ‘salesman’ type brokers, more about just selling any and all homes than they are studying the markets.

Problem solved.Moral of the story, regardless of neighborhoods, empty homes draw attention and there are a lot of people looking for shelter.
