They were obviously trying to blatantly, egregiously defraud the homeowner, and they deserved to lose the case.

Bedroom count was incorrect, sq footage wasn't correct, current rent being charged was 25% too low, a couple blatant physical issues that a couple thousand dollars fixed but probably turned some people off ect. 

It's possible that they are just blatant liars, but I went a little deeper into this, and again, from what I've seen, they seem to be correct.

While there you can visually check to see if there are any blatant problems.

I don't ask contractors how they feel about certain social or political views, but if the guy is going to blurt out and prove he's a racist while he's giving me a price quote, then I sure am not going to ignore that he's a blatant racist.

My rule of thumb is to not respond to any that have blatant spelling mistakes, improper grammar, or are just not responses that pertain to the context of the ad.

There is a big difference between being a cheap *** landlord and one that will let a blatant water intrusion issue like this continue and totally destroy the unit....you wont know until you investigate a little more.....
