Introduce yourself, give an elevator speech of what you're looking for, and ask for their advice.

I get so disgusted by seeing so many people on here with no money or credit think they can become millionaires over night because they have heard a few motivational speeches.

If it is a truss there is a 90% certainty it isnt load bearing.

Since it's an old building, there will be no trusses and hence more load bearing interior walls.

If it is than it is a structure problem in the foundation area.Some times the framer will install a couple trusses that are not very level or high or low and instead of waiting to get it corrected will install it ( he things stupid builder why is this my problem). 

I have a truss system and therefore there are no LVL's in place to drill into, but blocking can be added across the trusses.
