I think self management would be very doable for you and your spouse provided you either buy decent units or get them renovated quickly minimizing the need for time consuming repairs.

Sure, you could definitely use those website to help.. but you really need an investor friendly agent that can be your boots on the ground to also help you navigate the trends and stats.

With that being said some other providers out there will not be willing to do what you're doing in vetting your clients.
