We have a real estate meet up in Colorado Springs that will be great for meeting other investors and learning more about real estate.

I’d take this as a lesson learned and put more emphasis on the tenant screening process moving forward.

During this year, I've experienced inheriting a crooked property manager I let go on day 1 that tried collecting rents from tenants weeks after, an eviction (same person) and a successful lawsuit against a non performing seller that backed out the day of closing. 

While I was out there the business in Phoenix continued so I was able to manage AZ while being in SC and learning your market.

Or what if you personally found home you want to buy without a real estate agent...is it recommend to engage an agent?

Sell and make it some other person’s problem.

So I am turning to the BP community at large to see if anyone here has any personal recommendations?

-Move and split my equity 50% our personal house/ 50% on a rental?

We are going to be taking out some equity, no not a heloc, so that we can do some remodeling on our personal residence kitchen.
