If its done right from the beginning yes it adds a great layer of protection, but again - most do not do it the right way so its not providing any benefit.

So far I can think of:  - Using agency resources to get my RE license - Trying to make connections with agents who work with investors (as opposed to typical homebuyers)  - Learning the local market through osmosis/exposureAny ideas and/or insights would be well appreciated.

His idea is to help people analyze long term costs faster that others, providing a nice competitive advantage. 

Door knocking, cold calling, and other activities to get something that pencils well.

On the plus side of where we are; rents have really shot up, we have far better RE investing tools, as well as better software and knowledge.
