As @Christian Stoecklein mentioned, this is purely a function of effective taxes rates in the present vs projected tax rates at withdrawal.If your effective tax rate at withdrawal is projected to be lower than your current effective tax rate, pre-tax accounts generally make more sense.If your effective tax rate is projected to be higher, after-tax (Roth) accounts generally make more sense.Most individuals, especially the middle class and high-earners, tend to fall into the former bucket.

thank you for anyone reading this and may leave a comment in advance.I bought a single family home in Cincinnati Ohio, Mount healthy area in 2019. 74k to purchase, 26k to flip (from total disaster to be fully functional with new HVAC/water heater). 3bd 3bath 1800sq with 3000sqft backyard .
