We come across numerous deals that would be suitable for investors on a daily basis, however, we are struggling to find investors who are ready to purchase.

I live in Chicago and am trying decide what area would be best, my real estate friends have told me to find the most hopping area with shops, food, etc and then buy just outside that.If I’m looking to get into buy and hold rental properties, what factors do I need to consider in terms of location?

We both work full time and are not surrounded by investors on a daily basis.

This is costing us about $500 a month plus gas and food for a total of ~$1100.

I’ve always said I would spend the $1,000 (flight/hotel/car/food) before investing $30k-$40k with any company.

The yachting job was great because they provide food and accommodation so I was spending less than $500 a month.When I return to the workforce in March or April, I will begin investing either near Georgetown, Texas where I would move, or if I continued yachting I would invest in Sandusky, Ohio from a distance. 

Just an idea but maybe post in the Texas forum for greater success (I only found this because I have a "Fort Worth" alert even though I check the Texas forum daily).Now, to answer your question, most of the investors I know look for duplexes in the south part of Fort Worth.
