Is there any chance to receive a financial backing to move ahead with this project? 

The first time you receive the money (from your day job, other investments) it will be taxed as income, then after you pay yourself it will he taxed as rental income again.

Most of the housing stock is older so repairs and maintenance occur frequently unless the house has received recent upgrades.

The only reason I settled on Jacksonville was because I received a referral to the Turn-Key Property management company JWB whom I love. 

That way, if the partnership goes sideways my investment is protected in that I can enforce my note (receiving payments on my loaned funds) or foreclose on the property to obtain ownership.Are you planning to invest here in the States?

Here is what I know:The court appointed a Receiver on Sept 6th, with a stay of 60 days to Nov 9th (whatever that means).

Each student receives around 39$ a day for housing.
