An exception under TN law (maybe not in Texas) is that courts will pierce the corporate veil to avoid fraud or evasion of public policy.

A blanket liability policy may not cover an issue arising from a property if there is not a first line of defense, so to speak, from a policy that should have been in place and that is available.

As a new guy starting out, if you don't have a million or more to protect, just make sure you have an umbrella policy and are dealing with a good insurance company.  

I hear horror stories of people getting thier policy cancelled all the time due to owning a "vicious breed" which is a total bunch of BS in the first place, my "vicious breed" is the sweetest, most loving thing in the world, shes even afraid of my cats. this coming from a guy who until recently hated all dogs. she totally changed my mind about dogs and especially ones that are so called "vicious" and i wouldnt go anywhere without her.
