I'm kind of coming to a conclusion that is cheaper to rent than to won.

I was initially hoping to invest here on long Island but after some thorough research have come to the conclusion that to have a positive cash flow I would have to purchase properties for section 8 in undesirable areas.

The point being title searching is not 100% science and absolutes, there is some interpretation, some conclusions that different people will reach different conclusions.AND in 900+ deals that I've done for myself and the many more that I've done with clients, there has only been 1 time that a title insurance claim was paid!

Conclusion: I don't think you can actually get $745 a month for a 2 bedroom apartment in this neighborhood.

That is a factually inaccurate statement that you made based on your interpretation from the article and while I'm not trying to argue with you, I need to point out that you are incorrect with your conclusion, on every level.I think you missed the spirit of Mike's article.
