I'm not in the position to fund these now, don't want the leverage, and value their knowledge and experience as investors. 

There are no taxes so can't claim anything like in the states.But one thing that's positive unlike Canada is that rental returns are pretty much anywhere from 5 to 10% net.

In the past I owned my own construction company but now I have a full time position as well as this retirement plan. 

The home after all would be getting paid for by the rent at least.I am interested in feedback and I have a lot of questions, several that I cant seem to find an answer for in books or internet.
