The seller inherited the property and apparently wants to just 'unload it' however is very rigid on the price and not doing any additional work to the property. 

We, too, started in real estate because of inherited money. 

@Vinny Thong -  I honestly hate inheriting tenants. 

I recently purchased a 6 unit apartment building and I was inheriting a tenant who cannot be reached. 

The tenant leases that we are inheriting show two separate addresses and there are separate meters for everything aside the water line.

Hi everyone,I am in the process of purchasing 50% of a single family home in Rochester NY that is owned by two brothers who inherited the property.One brother wants to sell his interest to me and move to a condo in the spring.

Could need money, could be getting divorced, could hate being a landlord, could have inherited the house, could be moving etc...None of that really matters.

So my contractor relative is doing some minor work on a house that was inherited by a person that is  out of state that just wants to sell it and be done with it.
