My numbers and calculations indicate that they have been good investments, so I think there is something fundamental I'm missing here.

I don't think you would be breaking any laws by renting to them, but you might want to check on the ICE and DHS web sites.

They learn to program and find the criteria that they are looking for and scrape the data from the web.

But I do know that all the important people in the real estate world do say its passive, but I think many of them talk about real estate and pay other people to do seminars in their name and collect tuition checks or sell web access to special content like foreclosure listing, etc. 

Best thing you can do now is lock down your fundamentals.

2019 ForecastI attended the Utah Board of Realtors Forecast breakfast on Friday where James Woods, a U of U economist spoke on the fundamentals of the Salt Lake Market.  

I would recommend trying a different web browser.

So i actually tried their web pages for the county.
