Asking them to pick up their clothes and put their toys away from inside their home is what a parent does.

I thought it may kill two birds with one stone, getting me out of my parents and into my first property. 

We had a city inspector ask questions once and two of the young ladies in the house told him they were a couple, but maintained separate bedrooms for the benefit of their parents.  ... and that was the end of the questions.

I am unable to walk the properties myself as I am out of country, however, I can have my parents do it.

Reminds me about how parents go straight to the principal at my school when they have a tiny problem with a teacher.
