And because, on the purchase side, there's an inherent risk that you could preapprove someone using asset depletion when their Tesla stock is at $700, then 2 months later they go into contract and it's at $550, and boom you don't qualify, and this will be viewed as the fault of the lender or loan originator (hint hint: If I knew what Tesla stock was going to do 2 months from now, I wouldn't need to do mortgages!).

One thing is for sure.... if we have crazy inflation, I don't see how any sponsor will be able to make a successful exit as the cost of financing will go way up.As for your original question, I see what you're getting at, but I would assume that for a CORE property like the one you are describing, I wouldn't be comfortable if a syndicator intended to finance more than 70% of the purchase.
