Since I did this in person, there was no form to fill out, the clerk just made a computer data entry.You may not have to wait until next year, but rather your homestead status may not be effective until next year.

I know there is a vibrant startup scene there and the whole co-working/office sharing scene is growing fast (WeWork, ShareDesk, etc.).I've been doing most of my searching and analysis with Excel and manually scrapping data, looking at listings on Breather to estimate pricing and demand, going through WeWork listings etc.I was wondering if there was any software or service you would recommend using that would help automate the searching process?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on why accounting and why make the effort to pass the CPA.Elizabeth, you are welcome and will keep you posted on how this deal performs.Good question - I have used my accounting degree to understand operating cash flows, leverage, debits/credits, taxes, audit, forensic accounting, number crunching, data analysis, consulting and a bunch of other things that has served me well with respect to buying large assets like this.The short story though is you don't need to be an accountant to raise private money or buy large deals.
