I'm outside of the 60 minutes then, but my parents do live in MI a few hours north so we travel up that way fairly often.

I'm really excited to start learning how realestate investment works.

This is not as exciting as the deal I was emailing you earlier this week but at least this one isnt illegal haha..     

Like one time I met a 50 year old woman on Connected INvestor who was fishing for accolades from people that she got her first deal under contract and she was excited.

I wanted to clarify that one needs to have a rental property, with claimed income, before you can write off expenses associated with it like travel (gas or airfare) to check on it, correct?  

We are both very excited to learn about real estate and network with as many of you guys as we can.  

Even today after 4 decades in this business I still find it valuable to talk to everyone I can, in rent and housing court, in elevators, in the hall ways of where I travel, I usually have something in hand or says something that is an attention getter.

That's the exciting stuff!
