I live in an area that gets a lot of tourism & winter visitors plus we have a couple events a year that book the hotels & vacation rentals solid.

In regards to your local REI's- I would make it a priority to start attending as you will be able to put together your buyers list and make connections.

I have a very strong network locally and know a bunch of attorneys and other individuals who have traveled to Island after recent events.

I would recommend attending local investor meetings to network with others and possibly to find a mentor.

I know attending REIA meetings might help, but it's hard to find time to do that when you have a full-time job, a family and do a lot of free-lance work at night. :)
