A mortgagee can object to the notion (after another interested party asks the court) based on the fees a receiver would charge eroding their recovery.   

The longer I invest in real estate the more I try and focus on the 80/20 principle. 

Don't confuse the property's total cost (principle and interest) as being equal to your cost.

"strategizing with a co-worker", or "I'll call you after I get out of this meeting in 45 min" because pretending to be in control breaks trust faster than admitting the truth...)And I don't think the primary objective for a listing agent should be to get the highest possible price for a house. 

The objective is not to have your properties paid off.

@Dave Foster gave me some great advice previously, and based on my new understandings, I want to restate my objectives here to make sure that I know fully the situation and my options.I bought a new home in 2003 in the San Diego area, and rented out my old home, which I purchased in 1996.

Once you define that, figure out whether you can achieve your goals and objectives in your local market.
