Hi All - I am in escrow on a duplex in Saint Joseph, Missouri and am wondering if anyone knows of a quality property management company in the area. 

I'm wondering if it is worth buying some of these lots to build structures (single family vs duplex) on them to possibly rent out or sell.

I bought a condo 3 years ago and have around $80K equity after all the closing costs.

I got a text message from my condo tenant today.

Buy a duplex or 4 unit (rare) focus on livable condition for one side.

I would recommend you look at that as the prices compared to Austin will be much much less.Start with a duplex or single family, do that for a couple years and then go bigger.I have done all single family so far and will be doing that for another 2-3 years.

Do your homework BEFORE you lose money.I almost did, when we explored purchasing a condo in a very well visited European summer vacation destination in the Mediterranean Sea, Mallorca Island (completely a dream by the way).

Here in Chicago, I never hear anyone talk about a “duplex, triplex, or fourplex”.  

Good evening all- I just purchased my first investment duplex however I’m in a bit of a bind.

Own 2 properties (a duplex and a 4 plex).
