I was thinking of waiting as so many large corporations keep announcing layoffs in the dozens of thousands.

The issue, in my layman's opinion, is dealing with protecting/maintaining the LLC's corporate veil.

As I alluded to in my first post on your thread, you need to maintain/protect your corporate veil otherwise all your effort is useless. 

You can do it, but in my layman’s opinion it messes with your corporate veil.
