While I was living on 2nd St I had a representative from the city commisioner asking to speak to the owner of the property b/c they were doing a poll of owners on their opinions if they wanted it a 2 way street or not in that Midtown/Uptown area.

check your local ordinance as here it is 1.5 parking spaces per unit, also check the lease agreement if it does not clearly state 2 spot allowance then they arent entitled to it , so youll just want to negotiate that, but try and have the current owner do that as they already have a preexisting relationship and if you are moving in, the last thing you want is angry tenants next to you
