This has me thinking about my goals & prioritization for this investment: In order of importance to me: 1.)

Now, they won't give me the time of day, because they are too busy catering to the big money investors.not really big money players just more experienced and not nervous nellie investors.. 

Might be worth chasing down the smaller players in your city.

I would prioritize finding an accountant who specializes in real estate taxation over one that is local.There are 20+ accountants on this message board who specialize in real estate taxation.

Saving three to six months' worth of living costs can give financial stability in the event of an unexpected expense or emergency.If you have high-interest debt (such as credit card debt), prioritize paying it off as soon as feasible.

It depends on what type of loan is on the property.My sense is that the show went looking for a player who might look and talk like a stereotypical urban slumlord.

For me, your PM is a super important player on your team.

Hi everyone,  It seems like most lenders are prioritizing purchase transactions in the Austin area.

There are 4 or 5 BIG players buying up Ma and Pa campgrounds and doing major upgrades and charging premium prices . 

I used to have out of state investments myself and relying on just realtors and property managers in a market and not being a big player there is not necessarily a great position to be in.
