fyi I don't know about Columbus Ohio but in KS I avoid houses where the utilities have been turned off for more than 6 months, they need a full blown city inspection to have utilities turned back on, and that typically triggers new electrical work which could cost up to 10K.

Whenever dealing with condos, the short term game (even month-to-month with different tenants) can be tricky and you can trigger the discussion for the HOA board.Conversely, if you have a condo that faces the street, then MAYBE you can get away with it as it is less foot traffic in the complex.
