@Janel Y. it all depends on the size of the building (number of units), type of property (senior living, sec8, C-class, A-class etc) and what you're looking to get for services ("the full monty" of tenant management, leasing and building management or just some certain aspects etc etc) Even then it's not so cut and dry as to who's "good" at it, some are better at tenant placement and leasing and others are strongest at the on-going management and have good maintenance teams.

Non-citizen members will be governed by state law and I don't believe you'll have a problem, but fees could cost more.

There are a lot of potential variables (seniority, vesting, vacation, etc) that you would need to consider if your employer was open to such an idea.My advice would be to talk to your CPA, and if your CPA is not well-versed in real estate then find one that is, and discuss your options with them once they know your situation.Best of luck!

I do think we have a few years still in the strong apartment market driven by millennials, and then we are going to convert the apartments to senior housing, which is going to come out swinging by 10 years from now...Thoughts?
