@Guy Gimenez - I spoke with a local attorney who’s been practicing for almost 30 years and he says he’s never dealt with such a situation.

Hi guys,So I've been doing homework on real estate investing for a while and I am ready to put it to practice...is there anyone in the local Dallas area (preferably Cedar Hill) that would be willing to let me look over your shoulder as you work a deal or two?

I would think this is at least good for practice analyzing, but like you would like to know if there are other/better ways.

Textbooks and school taught me the terms but being in the workplace has allowed me to learn how to put these terms to practical use.

So its really not very practical or your not going to have much success if you just hone in on one property... you must follow 50 or more to get one. not that you could not get lucky and pre foreclosure takes the competition out of it. 

If you did not protest when my business was being harmed by over-reaching regulators because your business was not directly targeted,  I ask you

Some lots will allow only one single family unit others one SFH with a mother in law quarters, some will allow more than one house to be built on one lot and yet others will allow multifamily units that is covered the zoning laws , regulations or ordinances.

No one wants to give someone money to practice on a new strategy.  

You will definitely want to see what the city regulation would be to get homes into the park ( verify how many spaces its zoned for etc).
