I've been processing auto loan credit applications for 12 years and have yet to see anyone's credit benefit from making rent payments.

Your gut instinct is a survival mechanism.

Most prefer markets that are stable, not shrinking and the job market is supported by either very strong industries that are not in danger of disappearing in an economic crisis (most would have never put the auto industry in that category, but they do now!)

Have you considered using up your 10 fannie mae financed properties as an option to obtain cheap fixed rate capital that can be set on auto pay (no headaches as long as your cash flow is managed)?

I worked for summer apprenticing to work as a diesel mechanic on yachts and that was a blast, but besides that the beach is not my thing.

I was just wondering what others do,  iif you opt out of the auto escrow or if you just let the lender handle it.
