@Charles McMillian  unfortunately with the internet the way it is.. and with all the people starting their real estate journey's thinking that they want private money like its cheaper than hard money.. this has lead the scammers to fill this dream niche... now reality private lenders that are real are far and few between.. rarely if ever will make loans to people they are not already associated with.. and certainly do not have a web presence.Any one with a web presence is in the business of lending  or screwing the public with up front non refundable fee's and never making a loan.. just plain ole crooks..  

Where do find public records on properties, for example defaulted mortgages, tax liens, probates, equity, absentee owners, comps, code violations etc.  

That's the first step.Here is a link to every property appraiser and public records search in the country.

The phone numbers that I gave are the company numbers since this is public.  

They started with a butters then moved to public offers, no auction just a newspaper posting saying provide highest bid by this date.  

I may have to see a public adjuster about the furnace.

@Nicholas Amendolare, I don't think you realize that you posted this to a public community page, so BP may or may not actually respond to you in an official capacity.

We should focus on better solutions for providing rent relief to Californians than this initiative, including increasing tax credits for renters, passing new bonds to provide public funding for affordable housing construction, and requiring developers and cities to build more affordable housing across the state.Proposition 10 is the wrong solution for a state that desperately needs to create more affordable housing for middle class families.

If you want to know how the development is progressing you need to look into the public records and follow the local planning commission.
