That includes zoning, (including a zoning letter to confirm legal use) building, permits, sales tax, licensing, etc.

I have heard anecdotes about how doing a quick claim deed later, the county might consider that a sale, and re-evaluate your property taxes.

Is the IRS going to come find the 2x4 that was used to reinforce a wall or build some shelving? 

This may be more of a question for a lawyer, but from a tax perspective, that's my input.It's also worth looking at the sec. 121 home sale gain exclusion to see if it might be something you qualify for in order to take advantage of the exclusion amount since you mentioned it was a previous primary residence.

I'm not a tax specialist, but I believe there would be a way to rent out your entire place while your're away on contracts.

You need to build relationships with corporations.

I want to build my way there through rentals and as time progresses, I plan on building multiple other streams of income down the road outside of realestate.
