The bachelors/efficiency units, while there is a market, we find it almost as transient as a rooming house and are contemplating turning two bachelors into a single 1-bedroom.I do not mind having some three bedroom units (we only have two), but, outside of the university area, the vacancies can be protracted.  

As a result, I thought that I should give BiggerPockets a try.I was born and raised in Palo Alto, CA and went to the University of California, San Diego where I received a BA in Urban Studies & Planning.

Even with massive med school debt, I presume underwriting them as a tenant/buyer would not be too difficult (but this is pure speculation).I suppose the previous could apply to any field that requires post-graduate level education (and the loans that go along with it).What about university professors?  

Homes are cheap in the area (Upper Peninsula of Michigan), and we feel like this house is a good investment because it is in a good neighborhood, close to downtown and a University.

Property is right next to a big university in town.

The best education so far is through universities or state colleges taking applicable classes, do some due diligence on the curriculum, beginning with Principles of Real Estate and go from there.

Right now, I am a junior at a university and have a research project for a statistics class that I am in.
