hello BiggerPockets Family, im fairly new to the site as an active member.though im allready here for a long time, lurking around and watching and listening the podcast, well annyway here is the deal, im interested in investing/buying appartements in Slovakia. properties there go for as low as 30k for 1 or 2 rooms, and bring in around 300 p.m in rent, up to 500k for 5 rooms in the capital city..

Before you start increasing rents, the equitable thing to do would be to add value to the tenants, whether it would be to take care of deferred maintenance or some other value add.You need to put yourself in your tenant's shoes.

You can Join your local REIA, Network, Joint Venture with others, If you know family & friends willing to use some of their IRA/401K.You've mentioned "reading" peoples post have you listened to the Podcasts here..they cover everything about REI and they last about 1 hour give or take a few minutes.For your personal life I would urge you to pursue improving your credit.
