Is there an existing thread here (I assume there are many) where this has been talked about in great detail.

That the purely logical analysis.

I do my wires and fundings.. my notaries.. then I talk to the head construction lender to get the gossip on who is doing what ( no detail just hey how are sales and payoffs. )  then my banker etc etc.. 

Their analysts then drill down and do a deeper and more thorough analysis of each note to determine which ones will yield a risk-adjusted profit above their particular profit threshold.Say they determine that they will keep 800 notes.

I'm still at the analysis stage of buying my first owner-occupied multifamily and have recently come close to putting and offer down.

I have posted details on properties purchased in Mountain View, and in Oakland. 

Also take detailed notes on any repairs that were made to resolve trip hazards etc.
